Implant Retained Dentures in the
Tri-Cities

Denturist Lisa Lanham with patient

The number of implants depends on the treatment plan developed by the dentist or oral surgeon placing the implants and the amount of available jawbone.

When teeth are lost the jawbone can gradually shrink over time. Dental implants stimulate the bone during chewing which may help slow these changes.

Upper dentures benefit from the palate which provides a larger surface area for support. Lower dentures sit on a smaller ridge and are influenced by tongue and muscle movement.

For many patients the added stability of implants makes it easier to chew and enjoy a wider variety of foods.

Implants may help slow bone loss but natural remodeling of the jawbone can still occur over time.
